Welcome to my personal blog, where I share my experiences, insights and ideas about managing office space with you! I’m here to tackle the big question: “ I’m really unhappy with how things are at my workspace lately. Who’s the best person to talk to about that?”
Everyone has questions about where to start. First, what does “better” mean? Often the answer is a little different for each person. The office can be too bright, too warm, too cold, too dark, too loud….or ugly. I know you know it.
So whose job IS it?
I have often asked myself this question. Usually it falls under “other duties as assigned”. I love to commiserate over this question. Few organizations have dedicated people to look after your work-life well being. Many times it is off the side of someone’s desk.
Are YOU that person?
Well you are in luck.
I hope to take some of the pain away through knowledge. And I want to implore larger organizations to have someone to handle the messy or technical stuff. NOT the manager or administrative assistant or intern.
I am open to comments and questions and I will do my best to answer them. I look forward to hearing from you.

Why The Office Is Always A Sauna Or A Freezer ( And Why It’s Not Personal)
Shoulder season in Calgary is a true test of resilience. As the weather shifts rapidly, our offices feel trapped between extremes, with HVAC systems struggling to keep up. This challenge highlights the age-old issue of outdated building technology, leaving us all yearning for a stable climate.
Designing Offices That Foster Community and Comfort
Comfort in the office transcends mere efficiency; it’s about creating a space where employees feel valued and motivated. Recognizing their contributions fosters a culture of appreciation, leading to a more engaged and productive workforce. A thoughtfully designed office supports this environment, making it both functional and inspiring.
